UPDATE 3/22/24: For WokeWorld, there is nothing more essential to their evil agenda than turning reality on its head. Yet one more recent expression of this is London’s venerable Victora & Albert Museum staging an exhibit of historical villains that, alongside Hitler and bin Laden, has included Margaret Thatcher.

The caption reads; “‘Over the years, the evil character in this seaside puppet show has shifted from the Devil to unpopular public figures including Adolf Hitler, Margaret Thatcher and Osama bin Laden to offer contemporary villains.”

UPDATE 3/14/24: Telling the unvarnished truth gets you in big trouble when you’re DJT or just someone even remotely aligned with him and the MAGA vision for America. Imagine a restored America that values truth as the norm.  The everyday hero assumes free speech is a fundamental right and is willing to take whatever lumps may ensue. In Canada, Britain, and now much of Europe, there is no First Amendment to invoke. Speak freely. Otherwise, there is no freedom at all.

 

UPDATE 2/16/24: The bottom line for a society that accepts lies as the truth: “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” Ask the Germans of the 1930s & 40s.

One visible example of this is the acceptance of boys in women’s sports. This would all be impossible if gutless parents cared more about their daughters’ welfare than the disapproval of local Leftists browbeating them into such absurdity.

UPDATE 12/26/23: Isn’t it understandable to be a bit wary of machines promising to do all the work involved in thinking and creating for us? Creative destruction, new labor saving devices replacing outmoded ways in service to genuine human progress has always been a good thing but not to the point where the machine totally replaces the human and, like Frankenstein’s monster, destroys its creator.

UPDATE 12/15/23: Virtually all major premises underlying the major Leftist/Woke stances-a climate/existential crisis , the gender spectrum and Covid pandemic, claims of systemic American racism and an encroaching Trump dictatorship, an honest Election 2020-are lies, all lies. UPDATE 9/21/23: It’s been nearly a dozen years since Joe Biden’s unalloyed ugliness in the 2012 Vice Presidential debate inspired commentary on this site about how the breakdown of common, everyday civility leads inevitably to the deepest sorts of social subversion. The post from 2012 is entitled Understanding Biden’s Debate Rudeness: Marxist Rebels Undermine Manners, Too. Watching Joe’s clear pleasure in splashing his vomitous poison all about the stage that night, one did not need a crystal ball foretelling the sort of lawless, amoral climate a then-hypothetical Biden administration might provide.

So it is with the bizarre case of John Fettermam being allowed, even encouraged to dress like a slob in violation of the Senate’s longtime rules of self-deportment and dress. The good-humored, right-minded editors of the NY Post decided to see how well that flouting of the most basic rules worked out in some of the Big Apple’s toniest restaurants. The restaurants, unlike the Democrats running the Senate, didn’t cotton to the new fashion statement and advised that a visit to a local haberdashery  would be an acceptable alternative to Fetterman Chic.

 

UPDATE 8/30/23: Free speech is no longer a fundamental right in the U.S. and Canada when Jordan Peterson is compelled by a court to undergo Orwellian re-education for politically incorrect statements. Now that political protest is a crime and courts no longer protect free expression, we are no longer approaching a Stalinist way of life but have actually arrived there. 

 

UPDATE 8/423: It’s become necessary to spell out the most basic, stark reality in legalese as demonstrated by Oklahoma’s governor signing a “Women’s Bill Of Rights” defining “female” and “mother.”  One fears for the young struggling to come of age in this deliberately confused society.

UPDATE 7/2/23: In this upside down Orwellian world, Trump is under indictment for whatever crime they can make up while Hillary and Joe roam the world undeservedly free of any legal swords hanging over their heads. For no other reason, re-electing Trump is an affirmation that our legal and electoral systems still function, despite being riddled with corruption. It’s no coincidence that lawlessness has in the last 3 years suddenly become epidemic in everyday life since common criminals now feel free to shoplift, rob, assault, even murder without any particular fear of punishment. Observing the shameless criminality of the installed pretender to the U.S Presidency and his regime of pure corruption, why should they?

UPDATE 6/29/23: There is no more effective way to destroy and control a society than hijacking its language, re-defining words and concepts at will, rendering them meaningless. War is peace, up is down, day is night, black is white and men can give birth.

UPDATE 6/23/23: What better way to strike at the core of human vulnerability than confusing people about sexuality and what better path to mass chaos in general than distortion of words and their meanings? No tyranny hits home more destructively than the Left’s Orwellian control of language and the new demand that everyone adapt their new sexual terminology. “Gender-affirming care” (physical mutilation) and “preferred pronouns” are but two examples of this poison that healthy people must routinely reject.

Nothing nowadays is more distorted than the transgender agenda being forced on us and now being codified into laws punishing “deniers.” What is more chilling than the newly drafted law in Washington State (Senate Bill 5599) allowing children to be taken from parents refusing to allow transgender transition on their own offspring? We’re informed this is “protection” of children’s rights but is actually supreme evil as practiced by humanity’s worst villains, both imagined in fiction and in actuality. 

Hard to fathom, but today it’s called the DEMOCRAT Party.

UPDATE 4/14/23: Things have gone over the edge when Artificial Intelligence duplicating anyone or anything on a screen easily impersonates the real thing. A fake Joe Rogan broadcast featuring a fake Rogan interviewing fake guests including a fake Elon Musk has just been pointed out by the real Joe Rogan. Objective reality has met its most dangerous match yet.

UPDATE 9/21/22: A smattering of rather naive, crime-weary Brooklynites try to organize themselves into a sort of Guardian Angels brigade only to be scared off by crime-friendly toughs from the ‘hood’ stating with absolute authority that “crime is just a construct.” In other words, change the words “murder,” “robbery,” “assault,” “rape” to whatever nice-sounding names you like, and they’re no longer crimes! Voila!

UPDATE 8/16/22: The two-tiered, two-faced use of the law against Trump highlights the prime strategy of the Left: destroy objective truth and fairness. Doing so pulls the rug out from under impartial justice in our society. That especially includes the little guy, let alone those with battalions of lawyers to combat this persecution.

UPDATE 7/14/22: Words have power and few are more misused for evil purposes than “democracy.” Today’s Democrats would very much like to forget that we live in a constitutional republic kept free by separation of powers ensured by the Electoral College, not the tyranny of democratic majority. Banishing the Electoral College of state legislatures and relying on sheer mass numbers of imported Dems via open borders is currently Item #1 in their strategic plan to permanently corrupt our elections.

Making no secret of her totalitarian tendencies, Big Mommy has said that there should be ONE unifying candidate for national elections. One. Of her choosing, of course. Otherwise, there might be some disagreement about what people want, and tyrants have no time or use for such contrariness. Upon closer examination, the public just might discover that the biggest source of “disinformation” on the planet just happens to be located in the D.C. offices currently occupied by the Brandon administration.

UPDATE 4/28/22: As if to balance the prospects of free speech’s resurgence with Musk’s Twitter takeover, dystopian BrandonWorld is offering us the best in Orwellian thought police, a Disinformation Governance Board. The Left is obviously a bit worried about allowing expression of more than their side to any important question as Obama has made frighteningly clear in his recent comments and the almost-funny hysteria of Ari Melber over the suddenly problematic prospect of a Musk-controlled Twitter becoming the one-sided censor/fake news stormtrooper it has blatantly been for the last 5 years. Where ya been, guy?

In describing Obama and his spooky comments, Tucker Carlson is actually using the term “fascist” correctly, not as the catch-all pejorative for anyone you don’t happen to like but accurately as the Mussolini-esque alliance between BigGov & BigBiz (as currently represented by the Dem/Left social media mouthpieces like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube et al.)

UPDATE 2/12/22: The Orwellian charge of “misinformation” against open inquiry into the whole Covid episode is a crime against humanity. The short term cost is millions of ruined and prematurely ended lives. The long term is particularly marred by the loss of trust in “official” science.

Thankfully in this case, the American justice system managed to ferret out/widely broadcast the truth and spare the life of an admirable young man. Justice was also served in the Michael Brown case…and denied in the George Floyd case. Win some, lose some. There is no choice but to tell the truth despite the tidal wave of lies robotically repeated by those determined to destroy us, and that appears to include the Brandon administration, from its pathetic top to its worthless bottom. 

One other sorry aspect of this spectacle is where young Kyle can go without risking his life at the hands of the crazed Woke?  To this day, one wonders about George Zimmerman’s life in the wake of the Trayvon travesty. Who, in this upside world, are the victims and who are the guilty perps? In the best summation pointing the finger directly at the truly guilty parties here (the Prosecution, the Wisconsin Governor, PINO Brandon and their race-baiting online cheering section), a newly proposed Kyle’s Law is proposed. As frivolous libel suits should be discouraged and severely punished, so should frivolous political show trials.

UPDATE 11/16/21: As Orwell pointed out, tampering with vocabulary and the meaning of words is key to controlling masses of people. Of late, the word “misinformation” has come to mean anything true that explodes the lies of the self-anointed Elite. What are loosely called “scientists”  these days now fully embrace (Kiwi tyrant) Jacinda Carden’s  doctrine: “Dismiss anything else. We will continue to be your single source of truth.”

 

UPDATE 11/14/21: We are living in a world upside down when a 18 year old young man (Kyle Rittenhouse) is considered guilty until proven innocent in the public forum for standing up to lawless thugs actively destroying private property and terrorizing anyone within sight during the Kenosha, Wisconsin riots in 2020. Overwhelming evidence obtained through sworn testimony demonstrates that this teenager, loaded gun in hand, acted quite rationally under life-threatening circumstances. Thanks to the Woke MSM and a certain amoral political candidate gleefully injecting race into the issue (all 3 of Rittenhouse’s “victims” were White), he has already been pronounced guilty  by the usual suspects for having a gun, for defending himself at all, for being White. In a rational world, he would be walking free and deemed a hero for risking his life against violent criminals. UPDATE 11/11/21: For those of us living in this dismal present, it is cold comfort (but comfort nevertheless!) that history will vindicate determined opposition to the madness of the present. The truth means nothing to totalitarians and the irrational masses enabling them, but facts are stubborn things, things like a)the mass lockdowns have been incalculably worse than any “pandemic” blown out of proportion for purely political purposes; and b)that a politics based on freedom (capitalism) and NOT the Big Lie of “guaranteed” outcomes (leftism/communism/socialism) is the wellspring of true progress providing the most good for the most people. “The millstones of the gods grind late, but they grind fine.”

Take the latest Orwellian wrinkle in the benevolent Biden mafia’s “Build Back Better” boondoggle. No real money for government to confiscate? Make up your own hypothetical, prospective, projected, imagined  wealth by taxing unrealized capital gains!  Supposedly a “billionaire’s tax,” it is  aimed directly at the little guy who will bankroll his own enslavement by Big Brother.

Schemes like this that sound so nice (and are so deadly) are  just one part of what prophet/profiteers like Mark Zuckerberg now calls the MetaVerse. Don’t know what that is? It’s alternate reality on a grand, global scale, and Mr. Zuckerberg and his fellow Master Planners are here to create it for you to THEIR specifications.

C’mon, man! Objective reality is SO yesterday. You can take Zuck’s word for it.

 

UPDATE 10/20/21: Lies and distortions of reality (men can give birth, 2+2=5) are so prevalent now that one must persistently and publicly address every falsehood possible or suffer the consequences of lies becoming the New & Improved Truth. Admittedly, a full time job for anyone seriously protective of their own sanity.

UPDATE 10/17/21: Waiting eagerly for the moment when the light of objective reality dawns on the Woke millions of sleepwalkers about 1)why so many store shelves are empty; and 2)what policies of which administration made this suddenly happen less than year after 3)businesses of all sorts were booming; 4)gas prices were way down; 5)the borders secure; 6)the Taliban and other sworn American enemies like the Iranians & Norks were in check and seriously wary of American force;  7)unemployment was at record low rates for minorities. Waiting eagerly….

If the predictably stupid masses ever take up trusting their own eyes and common sense to size up what’s real and true, they will come to the shocking realization that Joe Biden is a thoroughly nasty man and that Karl Marx was a wet wad of filthy fiber. If the adjective “evil” is to be accurately assigned to something or someone, one must refer to what has been deliberately done (not just said) by that specific something or someone.

Biden is a pathetic ragdoll with strings doing the bidding of puppeteers yet to be fully unmasked but clearly in control of what is, to the clearly sighted, a degenerating DC career corrupto-crat stuck with a brain long past its shelf life.

ORIGINAL POST 7/17/21: Destroying objective reality-the truth, the concept of Ultimate Authority, right and wrong, God-is the frontline of the war on our lives. Without immutable reference points (1+1=2, there are two biological sexes, etc. etc.)  shared by an entire society, we are putty in the hands of that self-anointed Elite replacing those facts and truths with whatever they choose. Their goal is absolute control, and the very notion of free people going about their respective lives without rigidly centralized control is daylight and mirrors to these Woke Left vampires .

One glaring instance of this is the push for Critical Race Theory, teaching children of the future that the Founders’ America was/is inherently evil, that it must be replaced with top-down controls presumably designed to make us the pure Utopia heralded by Marx and his most effective descendants-Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Kim, Pol Pot, Castro.

The inconvenient trouble for Marxists always has been and always will be that forcing enslavement and lies on people happily attuned to freedom and the truth “for their own good” or “safety” or “security” requires force, lethal force. Ask the Cuban people of 2021. Ask 100+ million dead souls (and counting) eliminated on the altar of utopian Marxism over the last century. Is that simple bit of objective reality, repeatedly overlooked or deliberately buried, not compelling enough evidence of the war currently being waged upon us?
