Any relationship between Ohio Governor John Kasich setting a bad precedent by seeking federal aid as a last resort after recent tornado devastation…and then being denied it when it is genuinely needed? You don’t mess with Mother Nature, you don’t tug on Superman’s cape, and you don’t turn down Big Brother when He wants To Help You. As with the Mafia, Big Government’s message remains “Don’t refuse an offer you can’t refuse.”
Kasich, without ruling out the need for federal aid, stands out from neighboring states for not going immediately to Big Brother for help.
Only days later, after sending a personal request for aid to President Obama, he is soundly rebuffed and denied aid. Coincidence?
