This majestic 30 foot pear tree was reduced to a 30 inch matchstick by Hurricane Sandy in the fall of 2012. 
Exactly a year later it’s heading again for the sky, well on its way to its former stature and grandeur. Luckily, the tree has a strong root system. The question regarding America and its people is: does she have a strong root system? Or have those roots of self-reliance, independence, individual responsibility all operating within a free, competitive market been destroyed? Time and eye-opening desperation will tell.
