Politicians pandering to both sides with minimal commitment to bedrock principles say stupid things. Would Governor Christie make a similarly meaningless statement about NJ unions and overburdened taxpayers sharing “similar perspectives?” OWS wants permanent, cradle-to-grave Big Brother government subsidy aka International Socialism. TeaPartiers want to be left alone to provide for themselves aka Free Market Conservatism. When will any of this current crop of politicos learn that consistent adherence to common sense ideas and principles will win them votes, not vague conciliatory claptrap?
