Dreams of cradle-to-grave security for all fail to consider human nature. A child spoiled and indulged by parents grows up helpless and demanding…and easy to control with a treat here, a bone there and promises everywhere.  How does that differ from a whole society infantilized [and owned] by boundlessly beneficent Big Brother?
