UPDATE 6/26/24: For those looking into the future and truly envisioning a return to American greatness, Donald Trump has emerged as a fearless, indefatigable leader back to that way of life. Idolatry justifiably arouses suspicion, but when ever before have we been gifted a real-life action hero straight out of an Ayn Rand novel who miraculously, like one of the titans in “The Fountainhead” or “Atlas Shrugged,” refuses to bend to those forces determined to destroy all free, healthy life? All others available to us are midgets by comparison, and we would be fools to let the opportunity afforded us as voters go by.

UPDATE 6/29/24: While it lasts, those of us imbued with hopeful American spirit can enjoy the resurgence of Trump’s chances for a second term while taking special pleasure watching Leftists suddenly panicked at the undeniably exposed Big Lie about necrotic Joe’s mental competence.
Turning predictably to its usual full-bore projection mode, it’s supposedly Trump who’s the Big Liar. Herewith, one deluded MSM pundit speaking for the whole pack of them:
“For all his wild rhetoric and easily punctured lies, Trump kept his cool, and spoke loudly, forcefully, in simple declaratives, firing off RACIST assertions — migrants are coming to America to take jobs from Black people! — ABSURD allegations — Democrats want to rip ninth-month fetuses from women’s wombs and increase everybody’s taxes by four times! — and STRAIGHT-OUT SLANDER — Biden is a Manchurian candidate! — with a preacher’s ease and gospel clarity.”
“Easily punctured lies?” Such delusional declarations makes Trump a shoo-in as each alleged “lie” is easily verifiable as hard fact. The intentionally staged migrant invasion, a lie? Infanticide going by the respectable name of “women’s health,” a lie? The Biden family’s profitable ChiCom connections, a lie? If only it was so easy to puncture ALL the authentic whoppers shaping the Leftist narrative. This latest calamity gives one hope for accountability: the “climate crisis;” “gender affirming care;” the January 6th “insurrection?” Line ’em up for full inspection, a trial and sentencing.
Joe claims he’s still a contender, but his puppeteers most assuredly have a Plan B regarding their choice for 2024. One would be foolish to think this is all unforeseen bungling and not deliberately staged to get rid of the great White House pretender. Still one can take heart that all these actual lies emanating from that quarter are potentially as easy to puncture as the repeatedly-denied- now-obvious mental/physical/moral wreckage that is Joe Biden.
The bigger takeaway remains old, sad news about people in general, specifically the voting public. We are confronted again by those two universal failings that underlie most human folly: a) the inability or unwillingness to distinguish friends from enemies; b) the inability or unwillingness to distinguish the truth from the lie.
