UPDATE 9/26/23: Clueless Libs and hardened Leftists have successfully created their wished-for mad, mad, mad WokeWorld. The problem is they suddenly find themselves living with the consequences, and it upsets them: floods of illegals (and the attendant crime spike) in their own back yards, ridiculously expensive electric cars forced upon them that don’t work, vaccines/masks/lockdowns ruining billions of lives, Woke race theories that benefit no one except the hucksters flakking them…

It hurts, Monsieur Lib? Quel surprise.

 

Being religiously devoted to their fundamentally false, inevitably destructive ideas,  there is little chance confirmed Leftists will relent. Instead, they’ll try again, congratulate themselves on getting their noble lies out there in WokeWorld, far away from any consequences they might have to suffer themselves.

On an optimistic note, there is a rational segment of the population that is demanding a turn-around, insistent that healthy life must thrive. Which side will prevail?

 

UPDATE 9/13/23: Voters in regions as disparate as New York City and New Mexico are suddenly screaming bloody murder about the consequences  of the Party-line Dems they elected. In NYC’s case, it’s those “dreamers” crashing the border thought to be far, far away, now camping out on their doorstep. For New Mexicans, it’s a rogue Governor suddenly deciding to ban guns for a month on the rather curious premise that the Constitution allowing gun possession is, in her lawless world view, “not absolute.” You voted for it, you got it.

 

UPDATE 10/9/22: In response to WokeWorld coming down on Kanye West for calling BLM a scam and wearing a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt, Sharon Osbourne is asking for the $900K back that she and Ozzy donated to BLM. “I don’t understand it. It’s not my thing, it’s not my culture.” The light slightly dawns, but does this guilty White liberal really get it?

UPDATE 10/21/21: Watching Leftist/Progs/Never Trumpers consume one another does the heart good. Two abrasive lady loon Lefties, Elizabeth Warren and Margaret Atwood, find themselves at serious odds with ideological comrades. In Pocahontas’ case, it’s the Senate’s most irritating  multi-millionaire grifter jumping on uber-Woke billionaires like Rocket Man Jeff Bezos for not spending HIS money the way SHE wants. That could also qualify her as a hypocrite, but being called out for unabashed amorality has never  paused this frenzied fraud/liar’s pursuit of power.  With Atwood, it’s a case of a radical Feminist heroine condemned by the local Gender police for her use of such sexist concepts as male/female, man/woman. “Why can’t we say ‘woman’ any more?” asks the incredulous refugee from high-paid Handmaid hell.  

And then there’s the drama of RINO Meghan McCain learning that being a member of  The View coven spiritually united by Trump Derangement Syndrome doesn’t necessarily make for happy solidarity in sisterhood.

UPDATE 10/1/21: It’s edifying to observe the evolution of those on the Left at serious odds with their own bad ideas and lies who, to one degree or the other, find themselves moving in a commonsensical direction toward the truth.

These “second thoughts” (as David Horowitz terms them) recall the faithful Communist intellectuals of the 1930s like Arthur Koestler and Andre Gide, disillusioned and transformed by “The God That Failed.”  Read Orwell’s “Homage To Catalonia”  for a similar tale of transformative disenchantment. In the turbulent odysseys of such recovered souls lies hope, exceptional and rare though these stories are.

UPDATE 7/17/21: There’s hope and major schadenfreude (satisfied gloating at certain misfortunes of others) watching the Woke Left consume and turn on one another. Ditto witnessing hateful ideas like CRT backfire on them.

UPDATE 7/17/21: One optimist opines that Big Tech will abandon its practice of censorship because EVERYONE (Left and Right, Bernie Sanders to Donald Trump) continues to resist and threatens major push back in the courts. Maybe the Zuckerbergs, Dorseys, YouTubers & Barney Googles can content themselves with earning mega-billions just providing virtual meeting places for the social butterfly consumers and incredible libraries for the intellectually curious.

UPDATE 6/24/21: The Leftist ownership of the media will come back to haunt both the politicians and the toadying MSM that mutually serve one another. Their shared Woke policy of canceling and criminalizing everything they don’t like has delegitimized almost every American institution. The good news is they have also  set the stage for their own self-immolation. Let us hope sooner than later.

UPDATE 4/25/21: In the satisfying wake of the Chauvin verdict, BLM and assorted Wokester pests politely encourage diners at White-owned tacquerias in Manhattan to “get the f-k out of New York!”  Very curious how the Woke Storm Troopers feel most emboldened to harass and terrorize the public in the bluest, most liberal places. And to think how sympathetic most of those diners are to The Cause! They’ll tell you so! Red states and cities with concealed carry permits would be somewhat less willing to suffer this abuse.

UPDATE 9/23/20: Leftists find it hard to imagine that the nefarious schemes they hatch will come back to haunt them, being held to their own standards for others. It’s just not fair. One of many variations of NIMBY(Not In My Back Yard).

UPDATE 9/20/20: Woke Black mayors and police chiefs prone to accommodating domestic terrorists like their BLM pals inexplicably find themselves accused of White Supremacy by these “mostly peaceful protestors.” Proud display of weakness  does that to those Stuck On Stupid.

UPDATE 8/27/20: We’ll call the ladies BITA biddies and the gentlemen BITA bums, Biddybums the collective noun. And they are legion. One of the many new Biddybums is Trump-hating Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot who is a little miffed to finds all those “protestors” outside her front door. So she’s all for personal police protection to protect HER. Meanwhile, those cops and their leaders, advocates of law enforcement and not burning down cities for political power, are voting for Trump. Divine justice.

UPDATE 8/25/20: Stupid Leftwing moderates from Biden on down to the Never Trumpers have more than a bite in the butt awaiting them as guillotines and all they imply become graphic props for the Woke revolutionaries. Get the message, guys? Not likely.

UPDATE 8/20/20: BITA? CYA! Not by chance we’ll be seeing plenty of stories about prominent Wokesters rushing to one another’s defense when Cancel Culture circles back and bites its own. We’ll also see a lot of the newly BITA hung out to dry in the CYA panic that’s bound to ensue. Amusing to watch these world class hypocrites spin wildly to give an appearance of living up to their own standards.

ORIGINAL POST 8/16/20: History  has more than a few comforting revelations amidst all the terrifying ones. The new rise of American Marxism and its takeover of the Democratic Party is not all good news for its enthusiasts even if (God forbid) it manages to subvert the upcoming election and put Obama Transformation fully back on track.

The positive news for those of us fearing the loss of our American way of life is that power lust has a way of consuming itself. Today’s comrade is tomorrow’s lunch for those in pursuit of absolute control, and all those well-intentioned moderates on the Left  cozying up to their radical Woke allies in the Democratic Party will find themselves BITA (Bitten In The Ass). Cheering on the destruction of the American fabric always boomerangs to the shock and dismay of The Clueless. It was an alliance of the moderate Mensheviks with social reformers, those nice  “communists with a human face” known as Democratic Socialists, whom Lenin overthrew, not the Czar. Those moderates, like today’s guilt-ridden, penitent White Privileged morons, simply did the dirty work and paved the way for the Bolsheviks’ totalitarian ends, and (surprise!) they were the first to face the dungeons and firing squads.

Perhaps the most refreshing and politically healthy thing about Trump’s presence is that he has managed to bring all those self-righteous foes of essential America (free markets, minimal government, strong borders, live and let live) out into the open…and into one another’s desperate clutches. Never Trumpers, meet Antifa! Shake hands with Sharia! Howdy Hi, Obamanites!

 

We are faced with one big totalitarian blob, and they are stuck to one another like Br’er Rabbit to the tar baby. Naturally, this folksy analogy like everything and everybody connected to conservatism will be taken as something racist, but the metaphor is apt.

The mania of the Trump Haters from all points on the political spectrum will come back to entrap and chomp them bigtime in their posterior parts as they devour one another. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be free to continue on down our various American paths. To be realistic, one can never expect the degenerate BITA in different form not to show up again down the road. They will never learn. Suicide is their perverse, warped idea of living. Such are the inconveniences of preserving one’s freedom.
