Those who deplore people being fired from their jobs by Big Business are the same who, disliking the food & service [& high prices!!] in their local coffee shop, wouldn’t think twice about taking their business somewhere else. Nor would they hesitate attending stockholder meetings or writing nasty letters to berate the management for inefficiencies driving down the value of their stock. Will they mind when that nice, fair, compassionate, concerned government employee informs them they don’t qualify for that hip replacement? Or when they’re informed that they can’t sell their house until they spend $50,000 to bring the dwelling up to the proper environmental Green standards? Perhaps they’ll take their business elsewhere…except there will be nowhere else to go.
