  1. Fred,
Bernie Marcus got it just right; that the message hammered into kids (in education, in entertainment, in arts, in media) is that business and businessmen embody greed, barbarism and evil. Lawyers and politicians are the heroes, a la West Wing, Law and Order, LA Law, and a raft of other lawyer shows and movies.
It reminds me of the moment in Orwell’s Animal Farm when the pigs are threatened and suddenly they unleash the hounds that they had seized and trained from pups to do their bidding.
    Best regards,
    Carm

    1. It’s Orwellian alright. It’s also “Atlas Shrugged” come to horrifying life where lawyers & shyster politicians are the heroes. You’ll notice how the Left loves the courts and litigation. As Obama mentor and self-admitted terrorist Bill Ayers so eloquently put it, “Guilty as hell, free as a bird. America’s a great country.” One can be unethical, immoral, rapacious, even homicidal, and the odds are better than 50/50 that, with the right lawyer, one can still be legal.
