Rewriting history is prerequisite for the Left. Without altering reality and facts and real results, they would be left with…reality, facts and actual results. How inconvenient to think back to Iraq briefly after Saddam and the ensuing Surge: a semblance of order, the installation and activation of a parliamentary form of government, people actually voting for different candidates and living peaceably with the results. Healthy, bustling commerce and civility ruling the streets.

It was good until Obama decided it was not to be good.
Real hope and change not to the Community Organizer’s taste.

Bush and Cheney’s Iraq incursion was a very real victory over fanatic Islam, a modern D-Day, establishing a hopeful beachhead for a civilized social order. Now, with Obama’s deliberate abandonment, chaos and terror run rampant through Iraq and the whole region. Isn’t the rise of ISIS vindication for our presence in the Middle East? How complicated is the notion of standing up to bullies and savages?

ISIS child bride
ISIS child bride. But at least he hasn’t cut off  her head…yet.

Yet behold the ambiguous, apologetic prostrating of WannaBePrez Jeb Bush and others to the howling hyenas of the Left. Such timidity and short-sighted political expediency only animates hatred for him and, worse, obscures the continued need to take the war directly to Islam. Does he believe the Left will ever like him? Pro or anti-Iraq War, all Jeb and his fellow apologists can ever expect is a Sharia-like stoning. Ask his brother.

There are many reasons to damn Obama and the American transformation he hath wrought, but for the record, his betrayal of Iraq, the Middle East, Israel, America, the entire civilized world to the decapitating scimitar of Islam stands out (along with Obamacare) as his most damnable deed.

Truth however  painful is uplifting. In such discouraging moments as these when courage & resolve are in short supply, one can always refer to Churchill. Oh, for such a leader today: “If you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
